This self-empowering dance is brought to you in a series of classes and levels. The student can learn the basic movements at a slower pace so the knowledge attained can be absorbed. Practice between each workshop is encouraged in order to prepare your body and mind for the next step. Progression in this dance form takes patience, self-study and passion.
The student has to rebuild the muscle memory the correct way by drilling the 8 basic movements. The body remembers the right or wrong way to do things, so the student must correct the body. Nanci wishes to inspire the student to dance for the rest of their life. Movements that are executed incorrectly will eventually lead to long-term injury.
The Body Does What? The focus of these workshops is where all Tribal Style Belly Dance movements come from. Doesn’t matter if you have been dancing for 20 years, these basic movements still need to be practiced for precision. These are muscle-conditioning classes. Isolations or in other words: pop and locking for muscle control. Nanci uses this method in class to train the student’s muscles to dance.
These workshops are taught in a series. (Plan ahead for the next workshop coming soon) Sequence of
